Have You Heard? News Sites

Hi All,

News on the internet is free, readily available and covers every possible topic you can imagine.  There is a lot more news than just the Yahoo newsfeed or the Google newsfeed.  And while they are good for broad overviews of information there are other sites on the web that cater to other 'types' of news. 

Traditional news organizations were early to the 'news' game on the web.  Some of the more prominent news organizations that used the web to expand their presence include CNN, CBS News, ABCNews, Reuters, BBC News Online, MSNBC, FOXnews, USAToday, Time, Associated Press, the New York Times, and News.com.au.

Note that some of these news organizations cover different regions of the world - BBC, News.com.au in particular.  Also, some of the organizations are international in scope - Reuters, Associated Press and BBC in particular.

BBC - British Broadcasting Company - listen to radio broadcasts of news and more...from the UK

Best Buy - everything computer electronics and digital 'stuff'

Bank of America - one of the USA's largest banks...for mortgages, checking and savings accounts, investments, and much, much more.

Bed, Bath and Beyond - retailer that sends out the 20% off coupons almost every other week - lots of good stuff for the home and bathroom and bedroom

Bloomingdales - high fashion retailer - stylish and upscale clothing and more

Barnes and Noble - books, Nooks, magazines and more from this 'book/e-book' retailer

Babies R Us - got kids? then you probably want to visit for toys, bicycles, kids entertainment, childrens clothing and other baby necessities and more from this well known retailer

Buy Buy Baby - same as or similar to Babies R Us - which came first? - great for buying anything related to newborns (clothing, diapers, cribs, strollers, formula etc)

Bing - Microsoft's answer to Google. Let's hope it succeeds - why have only one company rule the internet search market? Different choices are a good thing! Also, Bing is an excellent, if late entry, to the search game.

Bible - Biblegateway.com - a word searchable Bible. Pretty cool, eh?

Bo - Meet the Obama's dog 'Bo'. Cute!
