Happy Anniversary!

Hi All,

Just thought of a great idea for a blog entry!  Anniversaries.  How cool is that?  And how universal - if you are married you have an anniversary!!!  And if you're not married you can celebrate with your significant other!

Here's a link for anniversary gifts by year! And it just does make sense that Hallmark is the creator of this site!  Note that there are traditional anniversary gifts (paper, cotton, leather, flowers, wood...etc) and a more modern version (clocks, china, glass, appliances, silverware, wood....etc) next to each anniversary on the webpage.

Click here for another site with similar information - only this time the traditional and modern gifts are organized in an easy to view table.

For a bit more context of wedding anniversary's, click on this link from Wikipedia that goes to the topic of 'Wedding anniversary'.

And for something completely different, click on this link from OnlineFlowers.com.au that talks about the various meanings behind each wedding anniversary.  Interesting stuff to be sure - and note that the site is Australian.

Finally, here's a link of anniversary quotes for your husband and anniversary quotes for your wife!  Game on!  Which quotes are better or sweeter or nicer?  You choose!

Enjoy the site and the anniversaries - my how the years go by.  (The days are long the years are short!)

Stu

Wedding Anniversary Information

Hi All,

I was just reading an article from Newsday about wedding anniversaries.  Click here for the link to the article that started me thinking about this topic for a blog entry.

Click on this link from Hallmark to find anniversary gifts year by year.
Do note that there are two columns - one for the traditional gift and one for the 'modern' gift.  Users should check out the 1st, 10th, 25th and 50th anniversaries.  Very cool.

1st - Paper/Clocks
10th - Tin or Aluminum/Diamond Jewelry
25th - Silver/Silver
50th - Diamond/Diamond

For more wedding anniversary background, readers might want to click on this entry from Wikipedia entitled 'Wedding Anniversary'.  The entry is quite comprehensive and even has a list of flower gifts and gemstone gifts for each wedding anniversary year.

Click on this next link to see an article from Hallmark titled 'Top Tips For the Perfect Wedding Anniversary Gift'.  Interesting stuff!

Finally, there is an excellent list of references that readers might want to peruse to get even more information about wedding anniversary'!

Enjoy the links!
