Goofy Post Time

Hi All,

Upon reflection yesterdays' post was a bit serious. I want to go in the opposite direction with todays' post. I'm going to make it a bit light-hearted and more fun. Aka - less serious!

So...you have some time off from work or you are on a vacation or something like that....what about trying a museum? Long Island has lots of museums - click here for a link (from Newsday) to some of the more popular ones on LI!

Notice the links on the left side of the page to 'Our 10 Favorite Museums', 'Best Museums For Kids', 'Nautical Museums', 'Niche Museums on Long Island'. Cool stuff - great for a rainy day or just to break up the monotony of a spring day (or summer for that matter).


Okay, so you might not be able to visit all of these offbeat museums, but click on this link to find a link to '10 Weirdest U.S. Museums' In particular the Pez Museum and the Devil's Rope Museum look like cool places to visit if you are in the area (my thoughts at least)

Click here for a link - from Firstwivesworld.com (a community support website for divorced women) - entitled '5 Wacky Museums Worth Visiting' - my choice here would be the Mustard Museum in Wisconsin - you can never have enough mustard I always say!

And since we are talking about museums, click on this link to find the movie 'Night at the Museum' starring Ben Stiller - yes, we own two copies of the move at the library!

Finally, click on this link to find books at the library that deal with 'murders in museums' - I did the search in the card catalog and these were the results - and I sorted them chronologically so the newer titles will appear at the top of the list!
