Adopting a Pet - A Great Way to Show Love!

Hi All,

Farmingdale Patch had this picture on its website for 'TOBAY Shelter Animal of the Week'.  What a cu
te pooch!  And do you know what?  Blog entries that have children and pets (dogs and cats) tend to have more hits than blog entries on regular topics like gardening, weather, sports, entertainment, etc...

But that's not why I'm generating this post!  The pets are darn near adorable - click on this link to the North Shore Animal League in Port Washington to learn about the various adorable, lovable, adoptable pets that they have at their facility.  Go ahead, make a dog or cats day and adopt the little guy or gal!

Now, usually folks don't go out and just 'decide' to adopt a pet on a moments notice.  Click on this link from the ASPCA to learn about some of the questions you should ask before you adopt a pet. The page also has a link entitled, 'The Right Pet For You'.

And there you have it - some great ideas on how to adopt a pet!

Stu

Also note that the page is organized by topic: birds of prey, waterfowl photos, bird wallpapers, waterbird photos, flightless bird photos, shorebird photos and much more. Finally, just to make this an even more educational post, you might want to visit the National Wildlife Federation or the National Audubon Society or the Sierra Club in order to support nature, animals and our environment.
