Free Online Calculators - Calkoo

Hi All,

Who doesn't need a calculator?  They are free, fast to use and accurate. And now with the internet you use a free calculator instantaneously. 

A website called Calkoo (I haven't foggiest as to why that's it's name!) has various calculators in many of the major languages (think English, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Chinese). 

At the top of the page is a list of the top 5 most use calculators.  There are also calculators on topics as varies as Taxes, Date and Time, Financial Analysis, Stock Analysis, Loan and Leasing, Measurement, basic mathematics, Health and Fitness topics. 

One you click on a particular calculator a new page appears.  You need to enter the required information and the calculator does the rest - the statistic is calculated. 

Done and done!

Perpetual Calendars and More

Hi All,

Time is definitely going on and on and on...its just the way it goes.  That's why today's blog entry is all about perpetual calendars.  What is a perpetual calendar?  Click here for a quick overview of what a perpetual calendar is. Suffice it to say that a perpetual calendar is a 'calendar valid for many years, usually designed to allow the calculation of the day of the week for a given date in the future'.

This next link from Infoplease gives the reader a perpetual calendar for any month or year in the Gregorian calendar.

For example, July 4th, 2055 will be a Sunday...perpetual calendars are useful to see when various holidays, birthdays, anniversaries and other special days are set to occur at some time in the future.
