Hi All,  

Just what you wanted to wake up to on a Monday morning!  Government websites!  How cool is that?

Welcome back to the week - and to start out we have an interesting site titled, 'GovEngine.com'. 

Basically the site is a directory of United States federal, state and local government websites. Also included are links to official executive, legislative and judicial branches of government.

The homepage has links to Federal Courts, State Government, State Courts, Local Government and other state and federal government resources. 

The site is easy to navigate, simple to use and has a nice interface.

Volunteering Websites

Hi All,

Just found a great website for volunteering on Long Island.  Appropriately enough it is called 'Long Island Volunteer Center' and can be reached by clicking on this link or the title just mentioned.

So, just what is the LIVC? It is an all-volunteer agency the provides support to, and promotes, and advocates, for volunteer service on Long Island.  Click here for a brief history of the organization.

And of course, click on this link to find volunteer opportunities.

If you need o contact the LIVC, click on this link.  This next link is a list of organizations that actually entertain volunteers from LIVC.  This is a very long alphabetical list of organizations so you might have to scroll down a bit to get to the name of the organization you are looking for.

Finally, if you click on the name of the organization, you find an organization profile, a link, and the organizations address...great stuff to help you contact them!
